Becky’s healthcare foundation was built through progressive roles spanning health systems, public health organizations, and statewide advisory bodies, providing her with a holistic view of how policy, institutions, and communities intersect to shape health outcomes.

Her early work included leading and scaling large volunteer programs within a health system, managing hundreds of volunteers and strengthening community engagement, workforce exposure, and operational coordination. This experience offered firsthand insight into the clinical and operational backbone of healthcare organizations, and the importance of people-centered infrastructure.

Becky also played a direct role in overseeing Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) for the two largest hospitals in her region, while indirectly supporting CHNAs across multiple critical access hospitals. This work deepened her understanding of population health data, regulatory requirements, and the practical challenges of translating assessment findings into meaningful, community-informed action.

At the statewide and national levels, Becky contributed to equity-focused initiatives and advisory efforts with organizations including Rush University and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Illinois Department of Public Health, the Illinois Health and Hospital Association, and the Illinois Public Health Association. Her work included piloting and advising on the national rollout of the Racial Health Equity in Healthcare Progress Report, as well as serving on committees and advisory boards focused on healthcare disparities, pandemic response, community health workers, and rural health.

Across these roles, Becky developed a strong command of healthcare governance, public health systems, and cross-sector collaboration; experience that continues to inform her consulting approach today.
