Vea brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community wellness. A graduate of the MPA program at the University of Illinois, she employs a holistic lens and a social justice framework in her service to communities. Drawing inspiration from her family's history of civil rights activism and her upbringing in a nurturing environment, Vea has dedicated herself to promoting equity and inclusion.
Her background includes roles as a life coach, multi-generational family caretaker, systems program developer, and social justice advocate. Currently serving on numerous boards and committees at national, state, and local levels, Vea focuses on healthcare, child abuse and neglect, decarbonization, and community engagement. She is dedicated to leveraging her knowledge, skills, and abilities to support grassroots efforts that empower communities in problem-solving, program innovation, and service delivery.
